Many couples every day come to learn that they can’t get pregnant. But if they do, miscarriage is soon to follow, followed by grief and disappointment. This is not as uncommon as you might think. In fact, it’s becoming a bigger problem for more and more couples. So what’s really going on. Can we blame MTHFR gene mutations or is there a bigger problem at play here?
While there is no doubt that MTHFR gene mutations play an important part in the success or failure of pregnancy. This gene mutation alone is certainly not the only part of the puzzle. In the case of miscarriage and or infertility. In some cases, the MTHFR gene mutation is not problematic at all. There are however some other gene mutations. That can make pregnancy difficult and some that make pregnancy almost impossible. Unless you know what to do about them.
A successful pregnancy is all about having an ideal environment for conception and growth. While many of the couples that consulted with us. They found out that they had missed even some of the most fundamental causes of infertility. Secondly, miscarriage and quickly learned that. many of their own genes were preventing pregnancy and even causing their miscarriages that were not MTHFR gene mutations.
We also found that many couples had serious nutritional imbalances. That caused poor fertility and a poor environment to conceive and grow a fetus. even when they were taking prenatal supplements.
Key causes of miscarriage & infertility other than MTHFR gene mutations
Nutrition
Infertility is more common in women than in men. Although approximately 30% of couples who have difficulty conceiving the problem is the result of the male. However nutritional factors need to be corrected properly in both men and woman to increase your overall success. Most couples try to take vitamin and mineral supplements and or prenatal supplements randomly to improve their odds. This in many cases actually causes imbalances in nutrition because our genes and gene mutations have different needs.
In some cases taking supplements randomly put excessive amounts of stress on person biochemistry. Pushed their likely hood of pregnancy further away. While others found out that even just missing one piece of the nutritional puzzle. Was enough to change their odds significantly.
Nutrition plays a major role in pregnancy, often nutritional imbalances can exist as functional problems that get missed during routine blood tests. For example, your blood tests might look like you have plenty of folate and vitamin B12 but that doesn’t mean that you are using it properly and this could dramatically affect your chances of not only a successful pregnancy but also having a healthy baby and even being a healthy parent.
Genetic mutations
As mentioned above MTHFR isn’t the only problem gene when it comes to infertility and or miscarriage, the following genes all play role in the success or failure, its also important to understand that if you have one or more of the following gene mutations this may put your health at risk which could ultimately affect everyone involved:
CYP2
CYP1
NAT2
MTRR
PEMT
GAMT
F2
FVL
G6PD
NOS3
F5
COMT
DHFR
And many more
Hormone Imbalances
Hormones play a key role in life and in pregnancy, both men and women can have hormonal imbalances that affect infertility and miscarriages. It’s important to test for hormone imbalances to make sure you can support a new life, you can also check for any hormone imbalance symptoms for women and men should also check their symptoms and get tested.
Toxicity
Many of us are toxic thanks to modern living and often having many gene mutations in our liver which can prevent us from detoxifying properly. Having toxic substances such as chemicals, heavy metals, electromagnetic radiation including infections and eating the wrong foods can all cause infertility and miscarriages. Many toxins are capable of altering our DNA which can cause damage to your ability to conceive and or carry full term, its important to ensure that your body is clean of toxins to increase your success.
Infertility and miscarriages are your body’s way of telling you that you need to properly investigate the real reasons why you have these problems so that they can be fixed, this is especially important to protect your health as a person and to protect the health of your child should you succeed in pregnancy.
