The Amino Acid Analysis Urine Test for MTHFR

Amino acids are critical to all aspects of your health, they are the building blocks of life and are required by every cell in your body to function properly. The amino acid analysis test is a great way to discover your personal levels of amino acids giving you the knowledge to take actions to support your body in building and maintenance.

Those who have MTHFR gene problems often have serious imbalances in amino acids as a result of methylation imbalances therefore taking the amino acids test will greatly assist you and your practitioner to help to restore amino acid balances.

One of the biggest risks faced by those with MTHFR gene defects is homocysteine imbalances that can lead to serious disease and even death.  Certain amino acids play crucial roles in balancing homocysteine which makes the amino acids test for MTHFR a vital part of the assessment to provide proper treatment.  Testing for amino acid imbalances and correcting those imbalances can go a long way to resolving many of the symptoms experienced by those with MTHFR.

The Amino Acid Analysis Test

The amino acids test is a simple urine test that can be done right from your home or office.  The test evaluates the levels of 37 amino acids which empowers you to prevent amino acid deficiencies, protect against amino acid excess and provide your body with the building blocks it needs to get the results you’re looking for.  The test includes:

  • The test kit
  • The test kit has full instructions
  • Express post overnight return delivery to the laboratory
  • Test results are sent to one of our professional health practitioners within 7-10 business days for evaluation.  Our practitioners contact you with the results and recommendations on any findings via email, mail or phone so you’ll know exactly what you need to do if the results come back positive.

About Amino Acids

Amino acids play central roles both as building blocks of proteins and as intermediates in metabolism.  They are catalysts to most, if not all, cellular processes. Scientific research has demonstrated that conditions, as varied as chemical sensitivities, cardiovascular disease, macular degeneration, bone disorders and insomnia, are associated with amino acid imbalances.  Amino acids are required for neurotransmitter and hormone production.

Numerous health conditions are associated with amino acid metabolism as a result of the many physiological processes they are involved in.  The production of neurotransmitters, hormones, nitric oxide, urea, antioxidants, connective tissue, and ATP are just a few examples.  Liver detoxification reactions involve glutathione conjugation, amino acid conjugation (taurine, glycine) methylation, sulphation, and acetylation and glucuronidation.

Symptoms of Amino Acid Deficiency or Excess

Many people have amino deficiencies and or excesses this is because each person is unique and has different amino acid requirements.  There are many problems that can result in amino acid imbalances with those that have MTHFR, some of these include:
